Hosting a gathering or craving a snack with serious flair? Briny, bold, and beautifully aromatic with a hit of black truffle oil, this bite-sized treat is perfect for impressing guests—or just treating yourself.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup mixed olives (green and black), pitted
1 garlic clove
1 tbsp capers
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp lemon juice
Black Truffle Oil
Black pepper, to taste
Baguette, sliced into rounds
Optional: Fresh thyme or shaved parmesan, for garnish
METHOD:
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Arrange baguette slices on a baking tray and toast for 8–10 minutes until crisp and golden.
2. In a food processor, combine olives, garlic, capers, olive oil, lemon juice, and a crack of black pepper. Pulse until finely chopped but still textured.
3. Stir in a drizzle of black truffle oil to infuse the tapenade with rich, earthy aroma.
4. Spoon the tapenade onto the toasted crostini. Finish with a light drizzle of truffle oil just before serving.
5. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves or a shaving of parmesan, if desired. Serve immediately and watch them disappear
